HARBOR TO THE BAY POLICIES
NEW REGISTRANTS:
If you’re a new H2B participant, either as a Rider or as a Crewmember: Welcome! When you register, you will be asked to create a USER NAME and PASSWORD that you will use to login to the website where you can configure your personal donation page and track your donations. You will also be asked to provide an EMAIL ADDRESS that we will use to communicate with you about the ride.
EXISTING PARTICIPANTS:
If you participated in the ride last year, you will be able to reactivate your account, using your existing password. You’ll then be able to update your personal information and preferences and pay your registration fee for the current year.
PRIVACY AND SECURITY:
H2B takes your privacy very seriously, and works to protect the security of your data and your identity. Your email address, personal information, and financial records will be kept strictly private. We will not share or sell any information about you (individual or aggregate) to any other organization.
BENEFICIARY SELECTION:
When you register or re-register, you will be asked which organization you “RIDE IN SUPPORT OF.” Please take note! If you’d like to support all four beneficiaries (Fenway, CRI, and ASGCC, AAC) please select “H2B General Fund”. Alternately, if you select a specific beneficiary (ex. CRI New England) then 100% of the funds you raise will go solely to that beneficiary.
Please make this decision carefully! All of our beneficiaries are great organizations, and we hold each accountable for the responsible use of the funds H2B donates. However, once you have selected who you will “Ride In Support Of” we cannot change the distribution of your donation.
FUNDRAISING MINIMUMS:
Riders will be required to raise a minimum of $500 to participate in the 2008 H2B Ride. This minimum will be enforced, and you are committing to donate a minimum of $500 by registering as a Rider. If you have not raised at least $500 by September 30, 2008, your credit card will be charged the remainder of the minimum. But, don’t fret! We are here to help you raise the funds! And, when your friends and family see what a great cause you’re supporting, and that 100% of their donations will go to charity, you’ll be flooded with money!
Crewmembers do not have to meet a fundraising minimum. However, crewmembers are encouraged to raise as much as they can, to support people living with HIV and AIDS. Our crewmembers have been some of our most successful fundraisers!
REGISTRATION FEES:
There is a $50 per person rider registration fee and a $25 crew registration fee. This fee is used to defer the cost of the ride so that 100% of pledges money raised by riders and crew will go directly to the beneficiaries. For more information about being a rider or crew member please refer to the Rider Info or Crew Info pages. |
